NEWSPAGE NEWSFLASH

* The original band members of ICE began recording the Electric Throne album before there was a such thing as digital or CD's, in the time of analog- February, 1983. Now, a seemingly magical occurrence: the original band will head into the recording studio to finish the original album project with all the original members: Joey Racano on Guitar and Vocals, Chuck Ugalde on Bass and Monster Mike Sciarrino on drums! Produced by Reynaldo Macias jr, and Fred R. Hunter, this would be the world's longest album ever in production at 32 years! Guinness here we come! Recording is not yet scheduled but is imminent. All parties have committed and will soon meet in San Diego, California, reunited 31 years after the breakup in Fort Myers, Florida in 1983. Will wonders never cease?! Expect a powerful Rock CD from this very hot 3 piece power trio.

* And the best laid plans of mice and men often go astray- Unfortunately, circumstances conspired against this regrouping of 'ICE' - First, the financing fell through, then the drummer said that when he looked at himself in the mirror, he could no longer picture that person as a rock star, besides which he was living on the couch at his moms house in upstate New York and couldn't bare the thought of being away from his therapist for more than 1 week at a time. And finally, Bassist Chuck Ugalde succumbed to cancer.

The good news is, I did manage to remix the 5 ICE originals that I had a multi track for, and published it as 'ICE' -Up From the Permafrost.'

The earlier 'ICE' songs have been published as 'Electric Throne.' So the music lives on.
